Andrew Lynch is the Digital Content Manager at FOX4, overseeing all stories on fox4kc.com, everything we post on social media, and our daily news gathering efforts for both on-air and online platforms.
He is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri, holding a Bachelor’s of Journalism with an emphasis in media convergence, and a Master’s of Arts with an emphasis in broadcast management.
Originally from Arlington, Texas, he and his wife have called Kansas City home since moving from Columbia, Missouri in 2012. He started at FOX4 as an assignment editor, then became a digital content producer before going to VMLY&R, a global digital marketing agency based in Kansas City. Outside of the news world, he learned valuable lessons about the connected consumer experience and how to make websites better and more accessible. He returned to FOX4 where he assumed his current role.
He’s a year-round sports fan and had the privilege of covering the Royals’ 2014 and 2015 World Series runs, culminating with the championship in 2015. Then in 2019, he helped cover the Kansas City Chiefs as they won their first Super Bowl in 50 years. In addition to cheering for the Kansas City teams and Missouri Tigers, he still keeps up with the teams he grew up rooting for, especially the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks.
The core of FOX4’s mission is to hold truth to power and ensure our leaders are acting in good faith while maintaining the public’s trust. In addition to those foundations of journalism, we also love highlighting good news stories in our communities and lifting up people that help those around them and make our world a better place.
