Kasey Babbitt joined the FOX 4 News team in 2010 as a studio production assistant, then in November 2013 moved on to work in the web department for fox4kc.com as an Interactive Content Producer.
Prior to working as a web producer, Kasey simultaneously worked at Channel 6 News in Lawrence in addition to FOX 4, and before that as a video editor and graphic artist for a NCAA Division 1 sports syndication company in Overland Park. She has also worked as a property manager in Lawrence for the residential side of a commercial and residential equities investment group based out of Walnut Creek, California.
Kasey graduated from the University of Kansas in December 2008, with a Bachelors of General Studies degree in Theater and Film, with an emphasis in film and video production, and a Business Minor.
While a senior at KU, she received recognition for being a part of several short films, as well as awards for a short-form documentary called, “The Littlest Ones: A Dogumentary,” which she partnered with her brother, Grant, to create. Grant and Kasey also ran their own small scale video production and photography company from 2006 to 2010, creating various productions for commercial, professional and independent clients.
Kasey is also native to the Kansas City area. She grew up in Lenexa, Kansas and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 2005.
