Makenzie Koch

Makenzie Koch has always called the Kansas City metro home. After being raised in Odessa, Missouri, she took her passion for storytelling and building relationships to the Missouri School of Journalism.

There, she emphasized in magazine editing and social journalism with minors in English and Theatre and worked at the Columbia Missourian for more than two years as the assistant director of community outreach.

After graduation, she took her first real-world job as a digital producer at the Standard-Examiner in Ogden, Utah, and moved halfway across the country. The beautiful mountains, unique culture and exciting news cycle of the Beehive State kept her busy for a year.

But ultimately, Kansas City called her back. She began working as an interactive content producer at Fox 4 in November 2017 and is overjoyed to be back in city she loves. At Fox 4, she focuses on social media, digital content, copy editing and all things internet.

When she’s not working, Makenzie enjoys watching superhero movies, reading any book she can get her hands on, working out at the gym, cheering on the Mizzou Tigers and playing with her puppy.
