Sherae Honeycutt

Sherae Honeycutt is so happy to be a part of the FOX4 team. Sherae is originally from The San Francisco Bay Area, but has roots in Missouri. She films, edits, and presents her own stories daily. For two years she reported in America’s Heartland at KFVS covering five states, including: Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, as well as, parts of Tennessee and Arkansas. Her focus was on Missouri’s Bootheel.

Major stories she covered are The Perryville Tornado, The Spring Flood of 2017, New Year Flood of 2016, Missouri’s opiod epidemic, The State of Missouri vs. former Sheriff Cory Hutcheson and the death of Tory Sanders in The Mississippi County Jail.

Previously she worked as an assistant producer and assignment editor for KRON4 News in San Francisco. In 2014, she interned with NBC Nightly News & The Today Show in Los Angeles. Through The Today Show, she assisted acclaimed journalist Maria Shriver and her production team with a series of stories.

Sherae graduated from San Francisco State University in 2015 with a BA in Broadcast Electronic Communication Arts. She also obtained a certificate from City College of San Francisco in 2013 for Multimedia Journalism. Through her internships and work she has assisted in coverage of The Napa Earthquake of 2014, The Supreme Court’s decision on Proposition 8, The shooting death of Kate Steinle, Robin William’s death and diagnosis, and California’s historic drought.

When not at work she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog. Sherae loves to travel. She’s visited 15 countries – and counting. She will root for the KC Chiefs, but is a loyal SF Giants fan for life. She loves going on adventures, learning, and trying new things.
