KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One in eight people over 65 has Alzheimer’s Disease, and the numbers are only expected to grow as people live longer.
Now there’s the possibility that beta blockers, commonly-used blood pressure medicines, protect against Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
There was significantly less shrinkage in the brains of Japanese-American men who took beta blockers.
