Metro Mom Shares Heart Disease Story

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Heart disease doesn’t discriminate between men and women – that’s the lesson that the American Heart Association wants people to know during Heart Month. And it’s a lesson that one busy metro mom learned a few years ago.

Liz Tatham of Olathe says that she was just 42 when she found out that she had a serious heart problem. Now, she’s a national Go Red for Women ambassador with the American Heart Association.

FOX 4 medical reporter Meryl Lin McKean is Working for You with the report.
