Does exercise help when you’re sick?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — When you’re feeling sick, working out can seem like the last thing you want to do. However, a little exercise might help you kick the cold sooner.

But a trip to the gym should depend on just how sick you are.

Dr. Bill Barkan, M.D., a pulmonary and critical care specialist at the University of Kansas Hospital, was appeared on Tuesday’s FOX 4 Morning Show to talk about when you are sick — just when one should rest and when you can hit the gym.
