Elderly Feel Relief Thanks to Project Elder Cool

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As we reach the 90s on Monday, Project Elder Cool is once again ready to make a difference in the community, providing air conditioning units to elderly people in need.

Kim Clough-Ruhl with Bishop Sullivan Center joined the FOX 4 Morning Show to explain the program and how you can help cool the homes of the elderly this summer.

Bishop Sullivan initiated Project Elder Cool in 2000. They provide a window air-conditioner to indigent elderly recipients in the Metro area.

So far, they’ve installed more than 4,000 units and look forward to providing AC to many more.
