VoteMOB Offers Election, Candidate Information

Even though registration time has passed, Caleb-Michael Files with VoteMOB is targeting college campuses with a message to get out and vote — and to know who you’re voting for.

VoteMOB offers a guide that lists who is running for office, positions they have previously held and party affiliation and their endorsements.

“We think it’s important people know what to bring with them on election day and that voting isn’t a scary thing,” Files said. “There is a ton of hushed talk about voter intimidation and what is going to go on at the polls and we want to make sure people have the numbers to their election boards to call if they have any problems at their polling places as well.”

Files recommends the website www.theballot.org, which is an online tool that allows voters to plug in their zip code to see what elections are happening in their area. Voters can create their own voter guide and endorse candidates, which they can then share on social media sites. Voters can also text to 877877 “WHERE” and it will tell people their polling places.
