Home Depot crew transforms Army vet’s home

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Tuesday was a big day for one local Army veteran.

As a way of saying thanks for serving our country for the past seven years, a construction crew will work around  the clock to transform John Eichenberger’s home into a home that’s handicap accessible, both inside and out.

Helping out veterans has become an annual tradition for the Home Depot.  from Sept. 11 through Veteran’s Day, thousands of volunteers across the country donate their time to help hundreds of military veterans fix up their homes.
