KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Vine Street Rumble band and the Lindy Hoppers swung by the FOX 4 Morning Show in anticipation of their Kansas City Stomp dance this weekend. The group will perform Saturday, July 13, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at the KC Masonic Temple. Tickets are $25.
The Vine Street Rumble is a new jazz band, founded to honor the legacy of the great musicians who made Kansas City famous. The jazz orchestra performs music from the 30s and 40s that spread from Kansas City to the rest of the world.
The KC Masonic Temple at 903 Harrison, Kansas City, Mo., was built in 1911, and has been preserved closely to its original state — including the dance floor and its 100-year-old folding chairs.
