NOW YOU SEE ME (PG-13)

RUSS
Perhaps the biggest box office surprise of the year is “Now You See Me.” This lighthearted suspense flick about a group of magicians who pull off bank heists, has pulled in nearly $300 million worldwide. Now that’s a neat trick.

SHAWN
No, it’s a good movie. Entertaining as heck and completely watchable. And people please. I know none of what happens is plausible but it’s a movie not a documentary.

RUSS
Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco play the illusionists who are pursued by dumbfounded FBI agent Mark Ruffalo. Morgan Freeman is a TV magic myth-buster and Michael Caine shows up to collect a check as a wealthy insurance magnate who employs the stage wizards for his own nefarious ends.

SHAWN
The fun part is getting a glimpse of the different types of magic.

RUSS
None of it makes a lick of sense, but “Now You See Me” has enough energy and visual slight of hand to conjure up some modest movie magic.

SHAWN
“Now You See Me” is a terrific heist movie. And the extras are just as magical. The Blu-ray/DVD/UV Combo Pack will feature an Extended Director’s Cut featuring 16 Minutes of never-before-seen footage, Audio Commentary, a couple of featurettes and Deleted Scenes.

The DVD/UV Combo Pack features “A Brief History of Magic” featurette.
