27-year-old KCMO man charged with second-degree murder

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man was charged with multiple felonies Thursday in connection with a shooting the left one man dead during an attempted robbery on Sunday.

27-year-old Travis Still of KCMO has been charged with second-degree murder, four counts of first-degree attempted robbery and five counts of armed-criminal action in connection to the case.

Prosecutors accuse Still of approaching several men near 9th and Spruce and demanding money while pointing a gun at them. Still allegedly fired a shot and fatally wounded one of the men.

Police say the other men at the scene held down Still until officers arrived on the scene.

The shooting victim was identified as Juan Subia.

Still is being held with bond set at $250,000.
