NEW ORLEANS — Five people were shot Monday afternoon during a parade honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., WVUE-TV reported.
It happened about 30 minutes after the parade had passed the location. One person was seen leaving the scene in a white car.
None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, the station said.
New Orleans Police Chief Ronal Serpsa told WVUE-TV the shooting was “completely unprovoked.”
