ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — It’s a case of excesses in St. Joseph, Mo.
Over the summer, residents watched as the Missouri River rose and threatened their homes, businesses, and land, forcing them to stack 90,000 sandbags for protection from the flooding.
Now that the threat has passed, the city is trying to decide the best use for the sand, which for now is being emptied from the bags and stored.
The city hopes to come up with a better idea for its use and although they are willing to sell it, they say they want a decent price for it.
