DINWIDDLE COUNTY, Va. — A man accused of shooting and killing a Virginia State trooper appeared before a judge on Thursday and heard capital murder charges read against him.
According to WTVR, Russell Brown, 28, responded to the charges by saying he was “fine with being executed.” He later told the judge, “Y’all gonna kill me anyway.” WTVR reports Brown began arguing with the judge while being appointed an attorney.
Brown is accused of killing Master Trooper Junius ‘J.A.’ Walker along a stretch of I-85 in Virginia. In addition to capital murder charges, Brown is also charged with one count of attempted capital murder of a police officer and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
