KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Sixty seven animals removed by authorities from the Forever Friends Animal League on North Oak Trafficway are ready to be adopted. They were removed due to poor conditions and poor health of the animals and the case has been caught up in court.
The owner of the animal store has finally signed them over so the KC Pet Project can find them new homes. There is a wide variety of dogs and cats that have all of their shots and have been spayed and neutered.
“We try to make it very easy. A lot of these dogs have never been outside cages before. They will require a little bit of training. We will provide training classes since they have never lived out of a kennel for unfortunately most of their lives,” Tori Fugate, manager of marketing and development with KC Pet Project, said.
KC Pet Project has had the animals for 79 days and some required extensive medical treatment. The shelter has spent $80,000 caring for these animals.
