Area school placed on lockdown as authorities search for burglary suspects

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – An area high school was temporarily placed on lockdown after three burglary suspects fled from authorities.

On Tuesday, North Kansas City High School was placed on lockdown as police pursued three Kansas City, Missouri burglary suspects. The lockdown lasted about 20 minutes, until about 11:45 a.m. when it was lifted.

Clay County authorities picked up the chase near Parvin and Prather. From there the chase went southbound to I-35 and Armor, where the suspect’s vehicle became disabled.

Two of the three suspects are in custody, and police are still searching for the third.
