Birthday Fund Established for Girl Found Locked in Closet

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A fund has been established for the 10-year-old Kansas City girl found locked in a closet earlier this month. She weighed only 32 pounds. On July 12, her mother, Jacole Prince, 29, pleaded not guilty to assault, child abuse and child endangerment charges.

When interviewed by police the girl said she did not want to return home. In the days following her discovery, a fund was established through the Kansas City Local Investment Commission, or LINC.
