PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A young boy digging for worms didn’t find nightcrawlers, but a gun.
The 9-year-old Arizona boy was digging near his home in Prescott, Arizona when he made the discovery. Police said the gun was a stainless-steel .38 caliber revolver. It was buried just under the ground’s surface and was placed in a plastic bag along with a single bullet.
Police said they checked the gun’s serial number and it had not been reported missing. Currently, they do not know who the gun belongs to or why it was buried near the boy’s home.
