LOS ANGELES, Cal. — The Los Angeles County coroner released the report on Whitney Houston’s death Thursday, listing it as an accidental drowning, but identifying cocaine and metabolites as contributing to her death.
The report also said that the injuries on Houston’s body were a result of being submerged in a bathtub filled with water and due to “cocaine intake” and said Houston had heart disease.
Houston died at the age of 48 in February. She was found at the upscale Beverly Hilton Hotel. Firefighters and hotel workers attempted CPR but were unsuccessful. The singer battled drug addiction for many years.
