KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Researchers say since 2010 Cyber Monday has been the biggest, online shopping day of the year and one Kansas City business woman agrees wholeheartedly with that.
“Oh, my gosh Cyber Monday, was crazy. I’ve been working nonstop, putting in 13-hour work days, helping my readers,” said Kelly Snyder, who created KansasCityMamas.com four years ago to help people seal the best deals online during the holiday season.
“I love being able to work with my readers and I love being able to save them money. Moms, dads, kids, they’re all readers of mine,” said Kelly.
Snyder said on Cyber Monday she helped thousands of shoppers save lots of money especially those who hit the web early and took advantage of coupon codes.
“You can do alerts on Amazon so if a price goes lower, it will alert you when that happens. Also, if you play your cards correctly, you’ll see anywhere between 20% to 50% savings compared to what you would pay retail,” added Kelly.
She also told FOX 4 this year it seems more people actually trust shopping online compared to years past.
“People are pretty confident that whenever they buy it online that it’s actually gonna make it to their doorstep and it’s gonna be in the condition that they want it to be in and ready for the holidays.” said Kelly.
A recent study found 58% of shoppers like Cyber Monday because they say online shopping is “convenient.”
However, others like Michael Ryan, still prefers trekking to the stores.
“I feel a little more comfortable and I like the personal experience. I’m just not comfortable with shopping online,” said Ryan.
“I will do most of my shopping online this year. I don’t care for the store crowds anymore,” said Amy Blonde.
