Dog thrown from overpass needs more surgery

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. — Lindey, a dog thrown from a Kansas City overpass, needs more surgery, her foster parent said Wednesday.

The German Shepherd was thrown from a bridge near downtown on Feb. 28. She previously underwent 6 hours of surgery on her mouth and had another surgery to her front left leg.

Doctors were hopeful her right leg would heal on its own, however it has not.

As of Wednesday, both of Lindey’s legs are in splints as the dog prepares for surgery in the coming weeks.

“We’re sad for Lindey but so grateful to all those who have donated to Lindey’s cause,” caretaker Nancy Campbell said.

The Missouri German Shepherd Rescue, which Campbell is President of, said they will provide more updates when surgery comes closer.
