Simon Cowell had eggs thrown at him during the live finale of “Britain’s Got Talent” Saturday night, when one woman got on stage and did to him what hundreds of reality show contestants may have wanted to do for years.
Viola player Natalie Holt got on stage during the live show and threw eggs at Cowell in the judge’s chair.
Video from TMZ.com showed as opera singers finalists Richard and Adam were finishing
an operatic version of “The Impossible Dream,” while the woman was escorted off the stage by security guards.
Taking it all in stride, Cowell tweeted on Sunday, “I don’t think eggs should be allowed on talent shows. Discuss?”
Holt has apologized and has admitted her actions were “silly.”
In a statement released by the show she said, “I want to apologise to Richard and Adam
for overshadowing their performance. I’ve never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realised it was a silly thing to do.”
