KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police were called when a driver discovered a two-year-old child wandering alone overnight. The child didn’t have any clothes on when the driver picked him up near 55th and metropolitan around 1 a.m. on Saturday.
That good Samaritan dropped the toddler off at a fire station. Police said nearly 10 hours later, someone called to report the missing child. They are just glad someone found the little boy.
“We’d really like to thank the citizen that saw this child and acted appropriately by bundling the child up and taking it to area fire station,” Sgt. Emmett Lockridge with the Kansas City Kansas Police Department said.
While an investigation is conducted, the child will remain in protective custody.
