BENTON COUNTY, Mo. — Investigators searching for Hellen Cook located a number of items that may or may not belong to the missing 72-year-old woman. Investigators would not elaborate on the items, but said they are in the process of trying to determine if they are in any way related to Cook.
Cook, 72, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, has been missing since Saturday, July 13 from her Warsaw home. She and her husband, Howard, were doing yard work when she seemingly walked away. Her family thinks she became confused and tried to walk the 115 miles back to their other home in Buckner, Mo.
Two hundred and forty volunteers continued to help in the search for Cook on Thursday in an area of Benton County.
FOX 4’s Sean McDowell is at the scene and will have more information throughout the day and on FOX 4 News at Noon. Watch our live stream.
