KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A high school student has been charged by Clay County prosecutors with possession of child pornography, accused of downloading images on the laptop he got from his school.
David Bigler, 17, was arrested Tuesday after a school resource officer at Staley High School called police when a teacher and principal found the images on the computer.
The images appeared to be a girl under the age of eight, with her private areas exposed.
Court documents say that after Bigler was read his rights, he admitted to a number of things, including:
- He is feeling guilty
- He has been downloading child porn for 2 or 3 weeks but adult porn a lot longer
- He would ask people for the child porn files
- He also got images from Facebook, where he would request them from people and get them via Facebook messages
- He watched kids play at a park near his house and would become aroused
- He works at Worlds of Fun as Food Service near children
Police say he also told them that the sexual urge has been growing and he thought he could control it for a couple more months before acting out.
If found guilty, he faces two to seven years in prison.
