KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A metro man has been charged for the murder of three people in and around a Kansas City, Missouri, home last January.
Anthony W. Walker, 46, faces three counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and one count of burglary in connection to the January 16th murder of three people at a home in the 3900 block of Paseo.
According to court documents, police found the body of Edward Williams outside of the residence on Paseo, and the bodies of two more victims, Herschel and Donna Pike, inside the home. Police say that all three had been shot, and .40 caliber shell casings were found by the bodies.
Prosecutors say that the last cell phone call to one victim’s phone was from Walker, whose vehicle, witnesses told police, had been in front of the residence the night before the discovery of the bodies.
Other witnesses told police Walker regularly purchased drugs from Herschel Pike at the home.
Prosecutors allege that police tested a gun sold by Walker to an undercover officer, and found DNA from Donna Pike in the barrel. In addition, the shoes of an associate of Walker and Walker matched footprints left at the murder scene.
The associate told police Walker took him to the Pike residence, and he saw Herschel Pike dead in a chair. Walker then told him he had killed the victims, prosecutors said.
Court records show that police also checked cell phone records and found Walker’s phone was in the area of the homicides late on January 15, 2012.
Prosecutors have asked for a $250,000 cash-only bond for Walker, who is currently in federal custody.
