LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas University junior defensive end Chris Martin, 21, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with aggravated robbery for a crime that happened on Monday, May 13 in Lawrence.
Police say two other men, former KU lineman Jeremiah Edwards, 21, and Josh Edwards, 28, were also part of the robbery and charged.
According to the police, the men had a gun and stole cash and marijuana from the victim in the 1900 block of Camelback Drive at about 10:30 p.m. on May 13.
KU football coach Charlie Weis said he knew about the charges against Martin, who transferred from City College of San Francisco.
“When we are confident that we have enough information, we will act appropriately,” said Weis.
