KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri, man faces charges in connection to a March shooting incident on the city’s East Side.

Curtis D. Bradley, 31, faces second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the March 25 shooting death of Wiley Garner. He also faces two assault charges and two other armed criminal action charges in connection to the shootings of two other victims on the same day.

According to court documents, police responded to the 5700 block of Mersington on the evening of March 25 and found Garner’s body in the street, where he had been shot. Two other persons in the area reported that they had also been struck by gunfire.

Witnesses told police that Bradley and Garner had been in an altercation when Garner approached Bradley with his hand out after telling others he needed to apologize because he and Bradley were childhood friends. Then Bradley shot Garner.

Police say the other victims were struck by gunfire from Bradley while fleeing from the scene.

Prosecutors have requested a $250,000 or 10 percent bond.
