KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police have released the names of four people who were shot and killed in Kansas City, Mo., in three separate incidents. In two shootings police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
Sept. 12 shooting
Police have identified the victim of a shooting in the 8600 block of East 61st Street as Phillip Neely, 24.
Police said they responded to a shooting call on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 8:52 p.m. Upon arrival officers found Neely suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline 816-474-8477.
Sept. 14 shooting
On Saturday, Sept. 14, police said two men were involved in a murder-suicide in the 6300 block of N. London. They have been identified as Michael W. Ard, 19, and Kevin W. Longnecker, 51. Police said Longnecker is suspected of shooting and killing Ard before turning the gun on himself.
Police said they dispatched officers to the home at 1:05 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers discovered the men deceased from gunshot wounds. A female with non-life threatening injuries was also found. At this time detectives are not looking for any suspects.
Sept. 15 shooting
Police identified another shooting victim who was gunned down on Sunday, Sept. 15 as Alfonzo Moore, 17.
Police said they responded to a shots fired call at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, they found three shooting victims. Witnesses told police the victims were standing in the front yard when an unknown suspect fired shots at them. All three were transported to area hospitals. Moore died later that morning.
