KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Highway Patrol confirms it’s investigating a shooting at that took place April 3 on I-470 and Lakewood in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
The Highway Patrol said it happened around 7 a.m. A driver reported she had been shot at but could not provide any suspect information or details. The driver was not injured.
Police have released no further information about the incident, but want to remind citizens that no new shootings have taken place since April 6. Approximately 20 shootings have been reported on Kansas City highways and road ways in recent months.
Police continue to thoroughly investigate the incidents that may be related and remind the public that a reward of up to $10,000 is available for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
