KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The day after Mitt Romney gave his acceptance speech for the Republican’s candidate for President, few are actually talking about the candidate and his speech.
It’s all about Hollywood tough guy Clint Eastwood.
Thanks to Eastwood and the Republican National Convention, there’s a new word coming out of people’s mouths and don’t be surprised if one day it is added to the Webster’s dictionary. The word is “Eastwooding” and the likely definition would be: the act of talking to an empty chair.
Thursday night, Clint Eastwood, who was the convention’s so-called “mystery speaker” gave an off-the-teleprompter speech that is getting varying reviews. The common descriptions include the words: rambling, confusing, comical, etc.
The “Eastwooding” part of the speech came when Eastwood started talking to a chair. At one point, he pretended President Obama was sitting in the empty chair and he even told the chair-Obama to “shut up.”
Now, many people are taking pictures of themselves doing their own “Eastwooding” and posting to Twitter and Facebook. If you have a picture of yourself “Eastwooding” add it to our photo gallery below!
Somehow Romney needs to come up with an action to create “Romneying” although it doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
