QUEENSLAND, Australia – An attention grabbing article listed under the ‘births’ section of a Queensland newspaper announcing a ‘retraction,’ which pictures a photo of a teenager dressed in a suit , has a lot of people talking.
The parents of Kai Bogert are being applauded on social media for happily displaying their open and accepting attitude toward their now son, who used to be known as their former daughter Elizabeth Anne, after announcing just a few days ago that he no longer wanted to live his life as a “she.”
The article reads:
“A RETRACTION – BOGERT – In 1995 we announced the arrival of our sprogget, Elizabeth Anna, as a daughter. He informs us that we were mistaken. Oops! Our bad. We would now like to present, our wonderful son – Kai Bogert. Loving you is the easiest thing in the world. Tidy your room.”
According to Courier-Mail, Yolanda Bogert placed the light-hearted birth retraction as a way to show their support for their child’s decision, and said doing do was a “no-brainer.”
“I needed to show my son I support him 100 percent and wanted to let the world know that,” Yolanda told Courier-Mail.
