Imagine holiday shopping without the lines. For PayPal, that’s the goal.
The online payment service is launching a new app that allows you to pay straight from your phone inside select stores and restaurants. Their website boasts: Order ahead of time and pay without standing in line.
You can save your payment info and with a quick swipe of the phone, those holiday purchases are yours to keep.
“From the consumer side it’s so much easier,” said Stacy General, PayPal consumer advocate. “It goes back to skipping the line, so you can order ahead from your PayPal mobile app, if you’re at a restaurant you can actually pay at your table.
