14-year-old boy struck by car in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 14-year-old boy suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle at 80th and Troost in Kansas City, Mo.

Police said the driver — an older woman — struck the boy around 6:20 a.m. That woman stopped at the scene, which has since been cleared by police.

Emergency workers were initially concerned about possible internal bleeding the boy may have sustained. No other information has been released about the boy’s condition at this time.
