KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man running across the street was hit and killed Friday night on Independence Ave., in Kansas City, Mo. On Sunday that man was identified as Clifford Lamont.
Police said the 40-year-old man was running across Independence Avenue near Montgall Street when a white sedan struck him around 8:15 p.m. He died at the scene.
The driver of the sedan was unimpaired and was cooperative with police.
