KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police dispatchers have confirmed that one person was struck by semi-truck at 71 Highway near 31st Street. The highway’s northbound lanes past 31st were closed for about an hour, but reopened at 3 p.m. The person sustained serious injuries, police said the accident happened around 2 p.m. on Friday.
