Players React to Coach’s Firing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — They no doubt knew Romeo Crennel’s future wasn’t secure after only two wins the entire season.

When asked by FOX 4 about Crennel’s firing, here were some of the responses from players:

Brady Quinn, Chiefs Quarterback

“Sometimes you gotta make changes to make things better in the future,” said Quinn. “This season wasn’t what any of us wanted on the field. We have to find ways to get better in the off-season and adapt to change.”

Ryan Lilja, Chiefs Offensive Lineman

It’s a tough business. It’s a quick deal. You have to prove it now. You can’t win two games in the NFL and expect to get another shot. That’s just the world we live in,” said Lilja.

Shaun Smith, Chiefs Defensive Lineman

“In this league, players mess up. Coaches get fired,” said Smith.
