Police chase ends in crash in KC, one suspect still at large

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two suspects who fled police have been arrested after crashing their vehicle on Monday. One remains at large.

Authorities said they received a call around 1 p.m. from a woman who said three male subjects just broke into her home and were leaving in a vehicle with some of her possessions. The 911 dispatcher alerted police, who observed the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, at which point the suspects led the police on a chase.

Officers used a stop stick against the suspects’ vehicle, and the car chase ended after the suspects struck two other vehicles near Truman Road and Winchester Avenue in Kansas City. Two suspects were arrested after they fled on foot into a nearby neighborhood.

One of the vehicles that was struck by the suspect vehicle struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk on the north side of the road. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Two suspects were arrested, while one other remains at large.

On Monday, home burglars in Independence were interrupted and a car chase with police ended at Truman and Winchester.
