Police Hope $20,000 Will Entice Someone to Talk About Harry Stone

RAYTOWN, Mo. —  The murder of Harry Stone on Sunday, May 13 remains unsolved, but on Thursday authorities announced that the reward has increased to $20,000.

Stone was out for a morning jog in Raytown on Mothers Day when he was gunned down by someone in a passing car.

“Apparently, very randomly, someone drove by in a car and pulled out a gun and shot my husband,” Bobbie Stone said. “I want justice for my husband.” Stone said in June when the reward was increased to $10,000.

By now, police believe the people responsible have confided in someone about what they did.

“Criminals like to talk. It’s just in their DNA so to speak,” Kevin Boehm, the Crimestoppers Coordinator said in June.

And now, Crimestoppers hopes another $10,000 will solve the crime.

If you have any information about Harry Stone’s murder, which occurred at about 7:20 a.m. on May 13 at Blue Ridge Boulevard and 67th Street, call the Tips Hotline at 474-TIPS.  To find out more about the effort to find justice for Harry, click here.
