KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Police have identified the man discovered deceased underneath a vehicle following an accident outside a KCK auto body shop.

Police say 60-year-old Robert F. Courtney was found under the van Tuesday morning after it crashed into Calvert’s Express Auto Service located at 79th and State Ave. Employees at the shop said they discovered the van, which had struck the back of the building creating a giant hole, and alerted authorities.
Police believe the crash happened sometime overnight or in the early morning hours, but say the incident continues to remains under investigation at this time.
Courtney was a resident of Kansas City, Kansas.
