KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A metro motorcyclist is out of the hospital with broken bones and bruises, and he wants police to find the driver who ran him and his friend off the road.
Kevin Hendrickson II and his friend, Larry Harris, were riding their motorcycles on west on Interstate 70 near Prospect Avenue last Friday night when someone first hit Harris, sending him flying into a grassy area, and then Hendrickson, who was sent tumbling into traffic.
“I just remember seeing Larry taking off into the grass, so I basically thought he was dead,” said Hendrickson. He says the driver then plowed into his bike, launching him 15 feet and out into the path of oncoming traffic on I-70.
“My first thought was I was gonna get run over by a car behind me,” said Hendrickson. “That’s why I remember rolling through the street, having my arms up saying ‘Stop!’ Stop!'”
Harris suffered a broken leg in the incident. Hendrickson suffered several cracked ribs, a fractured collar bone, a broken arm and bruises.
The vehicle is described as a new silver or gray Ford Mustang with temporary tags.
