ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Authorities are investigating after the body of a man was found in a Buchanan County river later Saturday night.
According to the St. Joseph News Press, the body of 28-year-old Richard James Berry was found in the Third Fork River by a passerby who noticed blood on a nearby road around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities say that evidence indicates that Berry was the victim of foul play, and said that the body did show signs of trauma, but did not elaborate on the nature of that trauma.
Police said they have arrested three people in connection to the case but no charges have been filed.
