KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are looking for a 2012 Dodge Charger which was taken in a carjacking on Monday afternoon.

The carjacking occurred shortly before 2 p.m. near 5th and Main in the River Market area. The suspect is a black male and was armed with a pistol when he approached the victim, who is an adult male. The victim says he, a female friend of his and his young daughter were in the area to eat.
The victim says the man approached him and demanded his car. The victim said he asked the suspect if he could let his friend and daughter out of the car first, which the suspect allowed. The victim said he removed the car key from his key ring before handing it over to the suspect.
