Police seek two suspects facing charges in KC double homicide

Police are looking for two teenagers wanted in connection with a double homicide in Kansas City, Mo.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jackson County prosecutors have charged one metro teenager with killing two men in October, and charged another teen with helping him get away from the crime scene, and destroying evidence.

Louie S. Guana,18,  faces two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and first-degree assault. Christopher Hamm Jr.,17, is charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence.

Guana is accused of fatally shooting Pablo Lopez, 18, and Jorge Calderon-Ruiz, 21, near a BP gas station in the 4800 block of Independence Avenue on October 10. Prosecutors say surveillance video shows Guana firing a gun at the victims and a witness, and then firing again after the victims had already been struck.

A probable cause statement says that stop orders were issued for Guana and Hamm after numerous tipsters implicated them to the KC TIPS Hotline after surveillance photos of the suspects and suspected getaway vehicle were released.

Prosecutors have requested a $100,000 bond for Hamm and $500,000 for Guana upon their capture. If you’ve seen them or know where they are, call 911 or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
