DES MOINES, Iowa — Police have arrested an Iowa sex offender for allegedly using the “Words With Friends” app to entice a child to send nude pictures of herself. Police took Luther St. Clair into custody on Monday after the 12-year-old’s parents found text messages on her phone.
It’s believed the pair met in December. The girl told police she only met him once but there was no physical contact. Luther is on the sex offender register for two counts of third-degree sex abuse involved a girl in 1990.
