Students Raising 3,000 Pairs of Shoes for People in Need

LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. – You’ve heard of giving someone the shirt off your back, but how about the shoes off your feet?

That’s exactly what a group of Longview Farm Elementary students are doing and it’s all for a good cause.

Fox 4’s Terra Hall is working for you with how the students hope to make a difference.

Tennis shoes can be dropped off at the Hy-Vee on 291 in Lee’s Summit until April 23rd.   They can be dropped off until April 30th at the Hy-Vee on Ward Rd., Longview Community College Recreation Center or Lift Above, all in Lee’s Summit.

If you’d more information on how to to donate or if you work at a business that’d be willing to display a donation box, please contact the Green Sneakers shoe drive coordinator, Erin Voss at 816-524-4603 or scottanderinvoss@yahoo.com.
