KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying three suspects involved in an armed robbery at a Church’s Chicken, located on Blue Ridge Blvd.
Police said the robbery happened around 7:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, and the robbers got away with about $400.
Surveillance video shows two men and one woman involved in the incident. Police said one of the male suspect’s brandished a shotgun while the other male suspect who covered his face with a bandana produced a handgun.
“The male with the shotgun pointed it at an employee, I believe. He then pointed it at a second person, pointed it at the back of his head asked him to open the register, he couldn’t; one of the employees came over and opened it for him,” said Sgt. Marisa Barnes, KCMO Police.
Call the TIPS Hotline at 816.474.TIPS (8477) if you can identify any of the suspects. There may be a reward; and you will remain anonymous.
“We ask that they turn themselves in or if someone knows who they are, turn them in so that no one else gets hurt,” Barnes said.
