OAK GROVE, Mo. — A teenager faces kidnapping charges following a police standoff. Prosecutors have charged 17-year-old Jevn Griffitt with kidnapping, two counts of domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The charges come following a standoff at Griffitt’s Oak Grove home last week.
During the standoff, police say the teen was making threats to police and demanding money. The standoff did end peacefully.
When authorities searched a car parked in the driveway they discovered a gun. Griffitt is now being held on a $250,000 dollar bond.
